|12/11: As a result of freezing fog and poor road conditions ALL SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED.|
On early-release days students are released 60 minutes early to give Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) the opportunity to meet.
Parents will be responsible for their child's transportation at the completion of the activity. No end of activity transportation will be provided by Greater Albany Public Schools in connection with any early release programs.
The following dates are early-release Wednesdays for 2013-14:
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). PLCs give principals, teachers and staff the opportunity to meet to discuss curriculum, assessments, and how to meet individual student needs.
All schools within the Greater Albany Public School District participate in these communities. During the school year the District has shortened school days — Early Release Wednesdays — so teachers can work together in PLCs.
Early Release Days. The District has 35 early release days scheduled for 2013-2014. On these days students will be released from school 60 minutes early and may participate in activities sponsored by the our Community Partners.
Letter to Parents. Superintendent Delapoer has written a letter to parents explaining why PLCs are important to your child.
