Nutrition Services

Welcome to Nutrition Services. We provide nutritionally balanced meals to students each school day. Greater Albany Public Schools Student Well-Being
Sodexo supports student engagement and improves the Quality of Life for the entire Schools community. By focusing on Quality of Life services, we reinforce the overall experience of a student’s educational journey. – Steve Dunmore, President Sodexo Education – Schools

Dear Students and Parents,

The school year is officially in full swing and our Sodexo Schools teams are working hard on programs and opportunities to consistently improve the Quality of Life and well-being of the students and clients we serve.

Every day, Sodexo serves thousands of nutritious meals to students across the country. Yet, according to the USDA, 16 million children are at risk of hunger every day. That represents one in five children that face hunger, preventing them from reaching their full potential. The Sodexo Foundation works to ensure that every child in the United States, especially those most at-risk, grows up with dependable access to enough nutritious food to enable them to lead a healthy, productive life.

To help support their mission, this October, the Sodexo Foundation is promoting two important programs that involve our Schools segment.

The Generation No Kid Hungry Photo Essay Contest is running now through October 25 for students in grades seven through twelve. Participants are challenged to create an original photo-essay that addresses the problem of childhood hunger in the United States. There are monetary prizes for student winners and their school.

The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships recognize and reward students who have made a significant impact in the fight against hunger. The scholarship recipients each receive $5,000 for their education as well as a matching grant in their name for the hunger-related charity of their choice. The entry period runs from October 5 through December 5 for students 5 – 25 years old.  See the official rules for more details.

Continuing our commitment to provide the very best Quality of Life services to your school community is a promise we deliver on every day.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Please email us anytime with questions, comments or suggestions about how we can improve your students’ experience.

Transportation Department bus

The Greater Albany Public School District Transportation Department staff work to ensure the safety of all students in the district. Transportation safety is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of bus drivers, school staff, parents, and students.

Find Your Bus Route The District's school and bus route information is available using Infofinder, an interactive, online bus route finder.

How it works:
Type in your address and zip code (include Drive, Street, Avenue, etc. Note: school and grade information is not required for a search.). Click the "Search" button to get a list of routes associated with your address. (NOTE: PM bus stop times listed are approximate due to unforseen traffic, weather, etc. Students are to be at the assigned stop at least 5 minutes before the posted times.) If you live in an outlying area and did not have a student from your household riding the bus last year, Infofinder may not be able to identify a route. Please contact the Transportation Office at 541-967-4626.

Print options: Click the printer icon (printer) next to the school name to print bus stop information. To print a list of routes, schools, and an area map, print the page directly from your browser.

Notifications: You can also register to receive notifications sent out by the Transportation Department.
