Built in 1971, South Shore Elementary School is in its fourth decade of proudly educating Albany children. Located on a 5.7 acre campus, South Shore serves students from a large section of the school district's east and southeast neighborhoods.

Our Focus For Improvement:

  • Ensuring that at least 80 percent of students meet standards in the word meaning and literacy forms and evaluative comprehension components of the state reading and literature assessment.
  • Ensuring that at least 80 percent of students meet standards in the measurement, statistics, and geometry components of the state mathematic assessment.
  • Providing character education to all students.
