Community Transition Program
The Community Transition Program (CTP) provides transitional and functional life skill instructions to students ages 18 to 21 in both classroom and community sessions. Students in the CTP are exposed to a variety of vocational activities, including groundskeeping, office work, custodial, courier
transports, and more.
Beyond work experience, the CTP provides young adults with disabilities the opportunity to develop life skills through culinary courses and workshops on social skills.
Additionally, the CTP encourages students to develop hobbies and leisure activities. This is promoted through exposure to different activities, such as gardening, painting, woodworking, and more.
Community transition primary pillars:
- Employment
- Independent Living
- Post-Secondary Education and/or Training
- Self-determination and Communication
- Coordination with Community Support Agencies
