Non-Discrimination

The district does not discriminate and prohibits discrimination in any programs or activities on the basis of protected class, including age, national origin, race, color, marital status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. See policy AC Non-Discrimination. The procedure and form to file a discrimination complaint is outlined in AC-AR Discrimination Complaint Procedure and Form. Complaints and/or inquiries may be directed to the appropriate coordinator as listed below, and/or may be referred to the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

The district encourages staff to improve human relations within the schools, to respect all individuals, and to establish channels of communication with the administration and the Board.
